Dr.Velasco has literally saved my life. I came to her office in desperation. I was on the verge of a Suicidal drug spiral. She wanted my trust in her that was all. I have been seeing Dr. Velasco for many years after numerous, failed attempts to obtain the help I needed. I was eventually referred to Dr. Velasco by another doctor whose methods and depth of knowledge had failed me, wasted years of my life, and cost an egregious amount of money. Dr. V. is very professional and knowledgeable. I have not ever heard her be disrespectful to a patient nor has any patient complained to me while I was waiting to see her, regarding any displeasure and trust me they talk. I witnessed patients behave like small children if they don't get there on time or have to wait.Yes, the only thing I will say is Dr. has come late on 2 occasions only in the early morning. She is terrible- DO NOT GO TO THIS Dr. She will NOT answer your calls or let you into the office. She will not write you perscriptions when she's supposed to. She will leave you hanging and DOES NOT CARE. Worst Dr. I've ever been to by far.
Never on time. Office is locked when you see her for your appointment. Forgetful! Never remembers what you told her. Talks about her problems instead of your own. Hard to get in touch with her or her office in case of emergency!Rude
I can't help but think after reading these reviews, in regards to the negative, that they either commented on the wrong doctor or they are unstable. The complaining about the 30 min. Q&A and calling the doctor a "candyman" is VERY contradictory as is calling a doctor a stranger. My experience with with this doctor regarding my disease of addiction was very positive. I saw Dr. Velasco 2 years ago and I still remember what a terrible experience it was. I was having horrible reactions to a medication she put me on and she told me to just keep taking it. Eventually I was told by another professional that I needed to get off it, it was dangerous for me with the side effects I was experiencing. I was with Dr. V for many years, she is a very knowledgeable doctor and definitely knows her stuff. She would listen to my input on what I thought concerning my meds and helped me thru some of my toughest days. I cant say Dr. V saved me but she definitely helped in a major way.
I started seeing Dr. Velasco somewhat by accident. My previous doctor was obviously overbooked so when she started at her previous practice they moved me to her. She took her time to ask me about important things before she made any decisions since she had just started seeing me. She changed my meds and got it right from any past Drs. I had seen before.
