I was told my focal seizures, migraines, loss of memory, and cognitive decline are all from “a bit of anxiety” For some reason she prescribed a 1 hour long eeg and a spinal MRI, as if that would catch impaired awareness focal epilepsy that happens once a week? I did not go for the eeg after reading reviews and realizing the reason she wanted to us to have both tests with her. I will be going for the MRI elsewhere, she is not getting any more of my money.
I took my husband to see "dr." Young because he was going through episodes where he was being non responsive and I was getting quite concerned. He was diagnosed with dementia but I was never told what kind. When I got into the exam room "dr" young came in and I explained the episodes my husband was going through. She looked at me and said, " I'm a neurologist " and I asked her if she had ever heard of these episodes before and she said " yes but I'm a neurologist ". Well duh,, yes I know, that's why I'm here. I’m really surprised by the negative reviews for Dr. Young. I saw her years ago and was happy to see she is just as pleasant and kind as I remembered. My appointment was at 11:15, and I arrived at 11:06. After completing the paperwork, I was taken back around 11:50. Yes, it was a bit of a wait, but I came prepared with patience, and it was manageable. I was informed that a student (3rd year) would be involved in my visit and asked if I was comfortable with that.
