Dr Smiga walked in with such an ego and dismissed everything i had been saying. he quickly rushed through our appointment and left me feeling more confused. Seems like he just wants to get in and get out and collect his paycheck.

AVOID. This man does not listen and is incredibly dismissive. My husband had to go back a week after an extraction for severe pain and we asked for an antibiotic but he wouldn’t prescribe one. now there’s a painful infection and he might need surgery again if this doesn’t heal. If he had listened the first time we returned we could have avoided so much pain. He pulled pieces of teeth out of his gums today WITHOUT NOVACAINE. Terrible experience.

I was the coordinator for a hospital medical-dental staff for 20 years and regularly credentialed physicians. Consequently, I know what to look for in choosing a physician for myself and family. Dr. Eichner extracted an abscessed molar for me, probably the most nervous 82-year old patient he ever had. He is a physician's physician, extraordinarily kind and reassuring and, of course, awesome in technique and ability. I would have him treat the folks I hold most dear in a heartbeat.

If you are terrified about going to an Oral Surgeon don’t be IF you see Dr Eric Smiga. He is gentle, kind, compassionate and a wonderful surgeon. I was so afraid of the shot given in my palate and honestly he is so good, it was painless! He extracted 2 teeth in about 30 seconds! I can’t say enough good things about him and his assistants and office staff are so friendly and wonderful too....great experience!

My son had a very complicated extraction of wisdom teeth with diagnosis that involved cutting into jaw bone and surrounding nerves wereVery close , Dr Eichner was totally awesome , it was an outpatient procedure and he was wonderful , no complications at all and I was very pleased . Highly highly recommend using this great oral surgeon !!

He is unprofessional, uncaring, insensitive, disrespectful, etc., and is nothing but self-concerned and looking for money. He made an appointment, knowing what I wanted and that he was not going to help me, shot an expensive X-ray, kept me waiting, rudely addressed me with wrong information, then said he couldn't help me (make money off me,) and I should "do nothing" and live the rest of my life without teeth. He wished me "good luck!" Don't use him. He mistreated me; you know it is in him.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Smiga to anyone who needs an extraction done. He is so kind and caring about how you’re doing during the procedure that he really makes you feel relaxed and at ease. It’s a great feeling to know that when you need this type of dental procedure, you don’t need to look any farther than Dr. Smiga and his staff at Pgh. Oral Surgery. If anyone ever tells me that they need to get a tooth pulled I’ll definitely advise them to call and set up an appointment.

I came to Dr. Smiga recommended by both family and professional references. He has been consistently, kind, caring and sensitive to my needs. Never a problem scheduling and never an issue with the care that I have received from him and his practice. Always professional, courteous and kind. Nothing was ever too much to ask or unreachable. He is gentle, compassionate and the ultimate professional. Clinically a true expert in his field. I would recommend to all.

Would not recommend this office for oral surgery. The wait time is excessive and they're very unorganized. I was sent clear to out to Tarentum, when I live 2 minutes from the Monroeville office, to supposedly get seen sooner, just to be rescheduled! I'm never going back it's ridiculous!
