Phenomenal Doctor!
Dr. Awad was unprofessional. He asked me if I had internet, then told me to "go home and put into Google" what he wrote on a piece of paper -apparently my diagnosis. When I asked him about the link between a symptom and a condition (the reason I was referred to him), he laughed. After I pointed out that I do not find this as trivial as he apparently does, and I definitely don't think laughter is appropriate, he denied he laughed. I would have accepted a simple apology but this was unacceptable.
Dr Awad has been an amazing doctor for me. Has always gone that extra mile to help me treat my condition. Listens to my concerns and helped get the medication I needed by contacting insurance company to get my meds approved. Wonderful doctor!
I highly recommend seeing this neurologist in Atlanta. He was very informative and the staff was awesome.
I was very impressed with the quality of care and concern that Dr. Awad provided. I have seen many neurologists, however Dr. Awad is by far the the most intelligent neurologists that I have ever seen. He is very dedicated to resolving one's issues. I am extremely grateful for meeting someone of his expertise.
Dr. Awad himself is great! But, his office staff and medical assistant are nice people but horrible about responding. Doing almost anything over the phone requires immense patience and repeated phone calls. If you are lucky enough to not have to leave a message they are helpful but returning calls in a reasonable time, they need serious coaching. If you have the energy to be your own advocate with getting insurance filed, etc go here because Dr. Awad really is excellent, but the staff ruins it.
My wife recently had an appointment with Dr. Awad and I went with her. I was impressed with his demeanor. he listened attentively and answered all of our questions. He showed interested in my wife's issues. He did not give us the impression he was in a hurry, and he was willing to spend time with us and made recommendations on what my wife should do next. His knowledge outside of his specialty was very impressive, and he admitted when he was not familiar with something.
I've been going to Dr. Awad for almost 20 years. He has helped me immensely with my headaches. He always takes the time to talk to me and ask how medications are working for me and never rushes me in or out. He is a top doctor.
Dr. Awad is easy to talk to and does not sugarcoat what is going on with whatever you issue might be. He tells you what is going on in a language that a person without a medical degree can understand.
