Dr. Elsa Cruz, MD is a healthcare professional who actually listens and takes immediate action. She literally saved my life when I first started seeing her, and I am now on the road to recovery. Unlike doctors who make you wait weeks for results, she is incredibly efficient and proactive—ordering medications during the appointment to get you on the path to recovery immediately. I highly recommend Dr. Cruz; she isn’t just a psychiatrist, she’s a healing angel who deeply cares about her patients' well-being.
I am updating my review because even though she is not comfortable keeping me on the Rx that works for me, she continued to follow up with me when I was traveling and provided me with many of the Rx that I did require. I have come to accept that some people are not comfortable with Rxing controlled substances whether I have had years of proof of success with them or not. Unfortunately they way she runs her schedule is less then desirable! Came in as a new patient. Had a scheduled appointment for 3:30, waited until 4:15 to be seen. Still was not ready to take us back after waiting almost an hour. Asked to have the appointment changed to telehealth due to waiting to long and having my toddler with me whom was getting restless. I have been a patient on and off for eight years and Dr. Cruz is wonderful and very attentive to my needs. I have no trouble reaching her when I need something, even if she’s busy she usually answers and tells me when she will call me back. She takes time to listen and my office visits are usually 25 to 30 minutes when I see her by telephone it’s shorter but it’s usually just to go over my medications to see if they’re working for me.
