I have been a patient of Dr. Pitt's for a number of years, since the first time he rushed me into surgery from his office for my first back epidural, though multiple decompression surgeries. I have found him to be both concerned and responsible with my health, even when he referred me to others outside his area of expertise. I will stay a patient of his as long as I have access to his practice.
I went to see Dr. Pitt after a diskectomy from a"top"neurosurgeon. I had been in extreme pain for 2 years. I ride horses everyday on a mounted patrol unit for a federal law enforcement agency. I run and work out on a regular basis. Dr.Pitt has always been very kind, never ever rude and takes a lot of time at appointments. He said I was a good candidate for a complete disk replacement. Here's the thing folks,NOT everyone is a good candidate. In fact, most people aren't. As for me,I am completely PAIN-FREE! I still ride horses,r... read more
Dr. Pitt is one of the most prrofessional doctors/surgeons I have met. He and his office staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. Dr. Pitt also has a very good bed side manner and helped me feel at ease as a patient
I will never have anything to do with Dr. Pitt or his office again. Getting an appointment was a nightmare and had to be rescheduled due to x-ray technicians calling out. When I did finally get an appointment, the office was in chaos. No one seemed to know why I was there. It took them 45 minutes to get me in for x-rays and Dr. Pitt acted like it was my fault that it caused a delay. When I made the appointment, I had stated that I knew I had severe scoliosis and was looking into surgical options. Pitt didn't even look at my ... read more
Dr. Pitt did surgery on me last year to help (another Dr.) remove a pin from my pelvis. He saved my life! I am so thankful and will be forever grateful for the wonderful job he did! He's always friendly and gives me the time I need to discuss any issues.
I initially went to see him because I thought I had a curve in my spine, and I was right. I went back over a year later to make sure the curve hadn't worstened. I made an appointment for an x-ray. I went in, waited, only for Dr. Pitt to tell me that the x-ray tech was not in that day and I'd have to come back. Why didn't they call me to tell me before I took time off from work to come and get the x-ray? They had already taken my co-pay of $50, of course (which I found out later was supposed to only be $20 and I had to get re... read more
Dr. Pitt was very rude to me, he didn't listen and treated me like a child. Yes I am young, 20, but not stupid. I have compound fractures in 3 of my vertebras' from a previous gymnastics career as a child, over 6 years ago. He stated he wouldn't work with me until I started doing gymnastics again which would supposedly help the injury! I can't even stand for long periods of time without horrible pain! Also, I brought MRI's and x-rays from HealthSouth and he claimed the films weren't even of the right part of my back. I had 2... read more
I had 4 different doctors tell me that I have an auto-immune disease. He said I was fine even though my rheumatologist recommended I have surgery after she saw my MRI results. He was not nice to me, and he didn't listen. I won't go back because of how he treated me. Furthermore, he recommended treatments that I already had before that didn't work, and he said to do them again.
