The only reason i was a bit low on the ease of scheduling was not because of Dr. Halsted or his staff, but rather, my PCP, being so slow to coordinate this referral which is required by my insurer.
From the front desk to the P.A. To Dr. Halsted I could not be happier. I would recommend him to my friends and family.
Dr. Halsted has a blend of incredible clinical knowledge with terrific patient engagement. His medical approach is professional while remaining empathetic to patient concerns. His foremost interest is in providing excellent patient care.
He explained the procedure thoroughly, and did the operation (carpal tunnel) without a hitch. I saw him for two follow-ups, each time he spent time with me answering every question, and explaining each aspect of my recovery (which was a full recovery, with no complications). He is professional in every respect, as is each and every member of his staff whom I met. Besides being an excellent surgeon, he is an excellent communicator, and a very good listener.
Dr. Halsted did a brilliant job on my dominant hand, carpal tunnel surgery. I knew what to expect, and will book the procedure here, for my left hand. Always on time!!! Great experience with all levels of staff.
Visited Dr. Halsted about some moderate hand pain I've been having as result of my work. He examined my hands, said they looked fine, and that was it. His candor was somewhat dismissive and I received no information regarding lifestyle changes, behavior changes or anything I could do to treat the pain. Can't speak to his work as a surgeon but if you're looking for preventative care I'd go somewhere else.
Dr. Halsted removed a tumor in my right hand. It was deep and larger than originally thought, There is no scar on my hand to indicate that I had surgery. His calm, confident and pleasant manner made the procedure and office visits comfortable for me. I went to him and scheduled major thumb surgery for him to do the procedure, but because of an adverse reaction to the anesthesia I was unable to have the surgery and called me the next morning to check on how I was doing.
