Dr. Berv is a phenomenal psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for over a year now and it was the best decision I made to be a part of his practice. Everyone is so nice at the office and always willing to help out when needed whether its to schedule an appointment or to solve and issue. I have been a patient of Dr. Berv and Atlantic Health Services for 11 years. Over the past 11 years, Dr. Berv's expert treatment has enabled me to achieve personal and professional goals that were previously unthinkable. He is responsive to my concerns, easy to see, a gentleman to talk to, and a consummate professional in all respects. Highly recommended.

I've been working with Dr. Berv for over a year and half to get my bipolar under control. I started with weekly visits with lots of medication and dosage changes until I was able to find the right combination and dosages. Dr. Berv was very patient through my bad reactions to different medications and I had to trust him to keep trying new combinations and dosages until we got it right. I have been a patient of Atlantic Health Services for many years. I was treating with Alison Wittenberg, APRN. Ms. Wittenberg recently relocated out of state and my care was transferred to Dr. Douglas Berv. What could have been a confusing and difficult transfer of my care, turned out to be a pleasant experience. Dr. Berv runs the practice in a very arrogant manner. Even though he is an owner of the practice, he refused to have a conversation about some very poor internal management and communication issues. Our daughter had been seeing a provider in the office who relocated. We were told that Dr. Berv would see our daughter and that the transition would proceed smoothly. Dr. Berv diagnosed bi-polar (the prior diagnosis was schizophrenia). His recommended medication worked, I felt as I had not before, I have been his patient for twenty years. He is resourceful, intelligent, empathetic.
