Dr Dori Mortimer told my daughter to her face that she thought she was autistic and then asked her how she felt about that then proceeded to schedule us a follow up appointment before we could finish our regular consult. During the follow up, she completely missed the appointment. The office did not let us know that she was running behind. Our daughters have been seeing Dr. Mortimer since they were babies & they are almost 14 & 17 now. She always takes her time with all of her patients & seems to really care. She never rushes out without answering our questions. That usually means you’ll have to wait a long time to see her but I don’t mind that if we don’t have anything planned after their appointments.
Dr Mortimer is an excellent doctor who spends time with and truly listens to kids. She sometimes runs late but it is because she spends so much time with kids and families in appts when they need it, so it’s worth it.
My 3 daughters have had Dr Mortimer as their primary physician since 2007 and chose (choose) to continue with her through their 19th year.
Dr. Mortimer let us down in our darkest hours. My child was faced with some major health challenges about a year ago. After having a few consecutive visits with Dr. Mortimer, she became disrespectful and audacious, while pretending to care at the same time. She would make insulting judgments against us as parents in front of our child and would raise her voice. I pointed out that her condescending tone was causing a rift between us after every visit.
