I recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Tenhulzen, and I ended up with a very painful dry socket. The doctor refused to take my pain level seriously, and refused to proscribe pain medication so that I could be comfortable, even though he acknowledged that I had a dry socket (which are inherently painful) and had me coming back to his office every couple of days to have a dental dressing repacked. His team started out with a good overall approach to the surgery, the nurses were nice and caring but once I was out of the office I was out of their hair. I went in a couple of days after my surgery to ask for help, my mouth and face were in a lot of pain, and they didnt offer any good suggestions or help. I called in several times, but since they were no longer treating me they dissmissed my need for help and pain until it got to the point were I had to seek medical help outside of their facilities. Great Doctor. Everything went smoothly. Nice guy, he started talking to me about football then, I just passed out and woke up in no pain at all.
Great experience, after researching on the internet and reading all the horror stories about having my wisdom teeth extracted (all four) I was "scared" and "hesitant" to say the least. Dr. Tenhulzen was great!!! he answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. I had my procedure done on a Friday morn and was back at work by that next monday...I recieved that friday a bouquet of flowers..who does that? and a call the following Saturday to see how I was doings. I have had dates that didn't treat me as well..
I was referred for dental implants by my General Dentist, too Dr Tenhulzen . His instructions and education of what was going to happen, made me feel at ease. His front office and chair side assistants were also very caring and I was treated as if I was the only patient that they had . I have and will refer everyone to this great office. I felt that the cost of my two implants was reasonable. The follow up phone calls to see how I was doing was also very reasuring. Thank you.
Dr. Tenhulzen has performed wisdom teeth extractions on myself and my husband now and I have to say that he comes highly recommended along with his staff. Attention to every detail including comfort and follow up care is outstanding. The phone call the day after surgery was nice to know that he took the time to care about me as a person not just another patient. Not sure of the cost yet, but it was worth every dime to know that I'm being taken care of so genuinely.
Wonderful wisdom teeth procedure, mostly painless and I have a very low pain tolerance. I can only say great things about him and his team.
I can only say wonderful things about Dr TenHulzen and his team....they made my wisdom teeth extraction such a pleasant experience.....from great bedside manner to agressive pain management...Dr Tenhulzen himself even phoned to check up on me at home later that day ! I even received flowers from the office too !! Thanks to all the staff too who are friendly, professional and made a very enxious procedure seem like nothing.I highly recommend Dr Tenhulzen....10 big thumbs up !
