He seemed angry about the condition of my colon and made me feel like I did this on purpose.
After surgery, at home, the surgical wound opened up. I called and Dr. Svetich did not return my calls. I asked to speak to a nurse, and was told there were no nurses in the office. At the next exam, I told him that he should have advised me to expect the wound opening and what to do about it. He blamed it on my fat belly. During my exams & hospitalization, I was treated with condescension by him. I do not recommend him. Very bad communication.
Couldn't be more pleased with the result of my surgery. After a few days of discomfort, the healing process progressed quickly and two weeks post-op everything was back to normal, and in fact I felt better than ever. Whenever I had a concern, the office of Dr. Sevitch took my calls and addressed my concerns which I found to be very helpful in getting through the healing process. I would strongly recommend Dr. Svetich to anyone requiring examination or treatment for colorectal issues - he's an excellent surgeon.
Dr. Svetich is a good doctor, but he doesn't believe in putting his patients out for procedures. The first visit I woke during the colonoscopy in terrible pain. I thought this was just a one-off thing. I went to him for another colonoscopy; the same thing happened. I was then told the Dr. doesn't put his patients completely under. It was extremely painful. I will not be seeing him again for any procedures for this reason.I also was told that this colonoscopy would cost me around $500; I got a bill for $1700. It should have b... read more
Dr. Svetich and his staff were efficient, comforting and extremely competent in performing a screening colonoscopy.
Dr. Svetich is a very professional and funny doctor. Totally recommend him!
I HAVE BEEN WITH DR. SVETICH FOR AROUND 7 YEARS NOW. HE SAVED MY LIFE! WITHOUT HIM AND HIS KNOWLEDGE, I AM NOT SURE WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE. I LOVE THE WAY THAT HE TELLS YOU EXACTLY HOW THINGS ARE. HE DOESN'T HIDE ANYTHING FROM YOU AND HE DOESN'T TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR. HE TELLS YOU THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH. I ADMIRE HIM FOR THAT. THIS DR. HAS HELPED ME IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE. I WOULDN'T SWITCH DR.S FOR ANYTHING IN THIS WORLD. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE. I ALWAYS DO!
dr. svetich made time for my son who had been suffering for at least a year in spite of treatments from another surgeon. he made time for my son on Christmas Eve at 5:00! and from there saw that further tx was necessary. so, the following Tuesday, he performed the appropriate tx that should last forever! while the other surgeon just kept doing the same thing over and over again. on top of that, dr. svetich called my son, and then even took a call re pain while he was on vacation! He's the BEST and most caring.
Dr. Svetich was very nice as was the staff. They were very accommodating and informative.
