Dr Berger performed bilateral inguinal hernia surgery on me. He explained the procedure to me completely and in terms I could understand. Everything went well and I could not be happier with him.

He’s king of the castle in an ivory tower if you have a complication or pain after surgery don’t expect any help to find out why or real problem solving

Dr. David L. Berger exhibited an outstanding ability to simplify complex medical details and completely communicate with me. From our first meeting I was struck by how patient and through Dr. Berger was in his analysis and suggestions for my intestinal surgery. Berger is an a-hole. It's fitting he works on colons.

Having had successful colon surgery for adenocarcinoma with Dr Berger, I find some of the negative comments to be unfathomable . My experience was that Dr. Berger is a caring , candid , talented surgeon and is very efficient. I did not seek out Dr. Berger for his bedside manner although I personally found that to be just fine, I was looking for the best chance for a successful outcome which I received. The man knows what he is doing and is excellent at it.

Spent all of 5 minutes with me, seemed annoyed by questions. His office staff was confused about procedure I was having! Information sent to me after the fact, including some wrong information. Called his office 5 times without a call back. They said he was too busy. I guess he is too busy to be my surgeon. Finding another one promptly. That was scary! I hope MGH can do better than this!
