Best in San Diego, knowledge and bedside manner. If you are seeking proactive medicine with the best outcomes, he is your go to doctor. Yes, it takes a while for the appointments, but you receive thorough evaluations.
Have not done surgery but apparently he walks on water in the OR. That doesn't justify making small children spend 2-4 hours in his office for every appointment. It just doesn't have to be that way. A friend of mine in the field trained at Shiley and said it was standard practice to book appointments for before the doc even arrived "to maximize the doctor's time" and also to double or triple book "in case a patient no-showed". This philosophy of prioritizing the doctor's time and showing absolutely zero regard for the patien... read more
Wait wait wait. 3rd appt that was nearly 3 hours then was rude to me when I pointed out that I had waited 2 1/2 hours and my last appt was 5 minutes after waiting the same amount of time. If this happened once I would understand but 3 times and this time I has my 6 WEEK old newborn along with a rambunctious 2 year old. I requested my file when I left. It is not respectful to people to make them wait 2 1/2 hours every appt when they have small children
He did my surgery 3 years ago and was the best. He tried a nonsurgical correction first which my previous dr hadn't even thought of. Nonsurgical didn't work but at least he tried it. My eye was fixed and I'm so happy with him and his work. I wish I could find an orthopedic surgeon as competent and caring. I'd recommend him to everyone.
He was 2 hours late, and rushed us through. He was more worried about telling us how great he was than actually looking at my son.
I want to start off by saying my 3 year old had 2 Eye Drs before Dr Granet. I heard about Dr Granet from both friends and strangers alike (my daughter had to patch--complete strangers would come up to me and talk about their experiences) More often than not they knew Dr Granet. The best part about him is--not only does he EXPLAIN the issue, he makes you feel as if its OK to ask even the stupidest questions. He specifically identifies the problem, course of action, what to expect, etc. Which may explain why he's ALWAYS late :... read more
Wow! What a wonderful doctor. He took all the time we needed and explained everything. Everyone said he was the best and now I know why. He operated on a friends's child and they said he was amazing. Don't go anywhere else!
