He is unfriendly and rude if you are not "his type of people". He could not understand or treat me when multiple auto immune diseases were attacking my body at once so he said it was due to my hair color and fired me.
I had been in severe RA pain, swelling, and stuffiness for over 3 years. I was referred to my 1st rheumatologist after 1 and half years of being undiagnosed or treated in 2022. Dr. McLain is very compassionate, he takes his time and listens to my symptoms, reviews lab work and is very understanding. I am newly diagnosed with lupus and have spent the last 4 years experiencing terrible flares. I am hoping that I will be in remission soon, I will try anything that he or his NP suggest. Also every staff member, I have had an encounter with, are so understanding and always very nice Anytime I’ve had to call the office and leave a message the nurse has returned messages quickly. Dr. McLain is very thorough and concerned. On my first visit, even thought the waiting room was packed, he stayed in my room for forty-five minutes to discuss all my issues with me. He was not just satisfied with treating the symptoms but got to the root of the issue. No other doctor had ever taken the time to do proper blood work or tests. I am very happy with Dr. McLain and his staff.
Dr. McLain, and his staff, are the best!! I have seen him for years, and he has always helped me immensely. His nurse practitioners, are amazing too!! I just had to leave a quick review, because of my experience today. Yesterday, I woke up to a very swollen and painful knee, due to RA. I couldn’t put weight on it, to go in; so they phoned in a steroid pack.
