Dr. Dan saved my back! And kept me playing the sport I love! – In late August I was competing in a Women’s A level sand volleyball tournament when I felt my lower back beginning to hurt before my the last match. It had done this before, so I thought "warm up a little more, stretch a little more". I had my partner help me stretch and hoped I could make it through the day. Being a fiercely competitive person, I didn't want to pull out of the tournament. By the end of the day, I couldn't walk - the pain was so intense through m... read more

Dr. Dan is amazing... – I was referred by a friend after I mentioned how bad my shoulder was hurting while playing volleyball. I thought she was crazy referring me to a chiropractor but I figured I'd give it a shot because it sounded better than surgery. Plus, for as long as I can remember, I'd had lower back pain so I thought maybe he could help with that. Well, let me say that I am a true believer in what Dr. Dan does. The first couple of weeks, I could still feel twinges in my shoulder during and after playing but as I co... read more

Sever pain to no pain in only 4 sessions – When I first came to Dr. Bockmann, I had severe pain in my neck on the right side that shot all the way down into my arm. I couldn't turn my neck in the slightest bit. Dr. Dan was kind enough to see me on an emergency basis and started my healing process immediately. After the first time that I saw him I had immediate relief from the pain and had more mobility in my neck. Each session I progressed with unbelievable speed & couldn't believe the relief that I had in my neck pain. Afte... read more

Highly recommended!!! – first started seeing Dr. Bockmann in 2004 for repeated back issues due to a leg length discrepancy. He has a genuine concern for his patients. He not only addressed my back alignment issues but developed a rehap plan to strengthen my weaker areas. In 2005, I had a rather complicated leg lengthening procedure which grew my shorter left leg 1.5" to match my right leg with an illizarov halo. I was on crutches for almost 9 months and had to learn to walk again. I was struggling with my PT through my ortho... read more

Business response:

Ms. Simpson had a very rare and complex series of surgical procedures to correct a significant leg length inequality. She was very brave to choose the painful surgeries to begin with, but I was most impressed with her internal drive to regain normal walking and running again during rehab. S., you impressed me with your determination and good spirit during your physical therapy and rehab treatments. I am very proud to be your chiropractor. :)

Get Out of Pain, Stay Out of Pain – I walked into Austin Spine & Sport crouched over and tears rolling down my face from the pain in my lower back. After 10 minutes with Dr. Dan, I was out of pain and moving freely. The last time that I had this issue I was in bed for a week. In my circle of friends, he is now known as "The Saint". He has an incredible manner, amazing intelligence and a holistic and genuine desire to improve your physical being by 1. getting you out of pain 2. rehabilitating and then, most importantly 3. tea... read more

Pain, pain go away! – I remember about three months ago having a lot of pain in my knee when I was running. It didn't matter if I ran a block or if I ran for miles. The pain was always there. I have been a runner for about five years and I had never experienced any pain from running before. I didn't understand after so many years of being an avid runner why my knee would just now start hurting. I mentioned this to my roommate and she told me that I should go and visit Dr. Bockmann. I went to a seminar on running and the knee... read more

Getting help was the best thing I could have done – I went to Austin Spine and Sport to get rehabilitation for foot surgery so I could get back to running, which is my way to deal with stress. I met with Dr. Bockmann who sized up my needs and put me on a rehabilitation plan. I was amazed at the personalized service I received and the attention to my progress EVERYONE at the clinic had. Dr. Bockmann met with me several times during my rehabilitation, which showed the PT practice's genuine interest in my recovery. It also gave... read more

Business response:

I feel SO much better – When I first visited Dr. Bockmann, I was experiencing severe pain in my shoulder and neck. I was having trouble turning my head, and at one point I felt some tingling in my arm. My husband and a friend of mine are current patients of Dr. Bockmann's, so I thought I'd give it a go. After my consultation and a few x-rays, Dr. Bockmann did some adjustments and suggested some physical therapy and homework. I did have some anxiety about the adjustments. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about getting my neck crack... read more

Business response:

Thank you for sharing, Karin! I'm very pleased to be your chiropractor, and even happier that we need to see each other so rarely! Stay healthy & happy. :)

Run, don't walk, to Dr. Bockmann's office! – I had been experiencing excruciating neck and shoulder pain. I started to get very discouraged because the physical therapy I was going through at the time just wasn't helping (not with Dr. Bockmann.) I stopped going to that physical therapy office when I felt like they weren't communicating with me (or each other) very well. After several referrals to other physical therapists that didn't provide any relief, I was prepared to just give up. So, one night at dinner, one of my best ... read more
