A terrible doctor. He was condescending, closed-minded and ill informed. No wonder he's not Board certified. My husband and I left very disappointed! Other than an attractive office, there is nothing positive to say about this sub-standard dinosaur.
PART 1 A fast paragraph to express my deepest appreciation for the medical treatment/care I have received from Gastroenterology Doctor Michael Jones in Key West. I have had Colitis from age 20 on ; mostly fairly mild ; with worse flare ups on occasion. I have lived in a few different places in the US ; and always need to find a great GI guy; Dr. Jones is perhaps the best. PART 2 FROM ABOVE : Within two days of the new medicine and the right dosage of existing med; my Colitis was under control. The bleeding stopped and the other symptoms became much better. It has been about 6 weeks since my first visit and the Colitis is all gone. Dr. Jones scheduled me to see him every 3/4 weeks for follow up; and his office staff is also great doing all the work in the Referral Process; as well as just being so friendly. Awful, awful doctor. He performed a colonoscopy on me, said I had IBS, and to come back in 5 years. One year later, still suffering with IBS, I went to the gynocologist, she was unable to perform the examination because of a mass. After having a MRI the diagnosis was softball sized rectal mass. The G I surgeon said this mass was more than 3 years old, and said she couldn't see how Dr. Jones could have gotten the scope in. I had surgery to remove the calcified matter.
