Dr. Behr surgically repaired my labrum tear and stabilized my shoulder. Thanks to Dr. Behr and his team, I am back to my full range of motion and strength without any fear of re-injury. Dr. Behr's surgical work AND his professional, honest, and informative bedside manner have given me the confidence needed to return to the rigor of my athletic training. I am back to 100%, and am forever grateful to Dr. Behr and his team for helping me get back to performing my best.

I am a nurse and know the importance of choosing a surgeon who has the best outcomes. I chose Dr. Behr because of his expertise but also because he cares about his patients. I had rotator cuff surgery at age 66 and by 4 months postop I had about 95% range of motion and minimal pain. Dr. Behr is the best as is his staff!

Dr. Behr has earned my highest praise for his excellent work and follow up care. My whole experience was terrific. From my evaluation, to my meniscus surgery and post operative visits, Dr. Behr was caring, knowledgable, and thorough. I'm back to playing sports and enjoying outdoor activities with my kids. As a former competitive swimmer with ongoing shoulder problems, I have seen my fair share of orthopaedic surgeons. I went to see Dr. Behr after my rotator cuff tear was not properly diagnosed. Dr. Behr performed 3 different surgeries on my husband- a shoulder surgery and bilateral hip replacements. Dr. Behr and his team gave us both a great sense of comfort and confidence. Their knowledge and caring are the real thing. If you are considering orthopedic surgery, this should be your guy.

Had a partial medial meniscus removal on Dec 18, 2019. Had some pain after surgery for two days and very little to no pain afterwards. Three weeks later minor swelling but can do anything. Saw many reviews about Dr. Behr not caring for his patients, not my case. He is not very talkative, but answered any and all of my questions, and most importantly, I believe he is an excellent surgeon. If I have another knee issue I will return to see Dr. Behr.

The Doctor is not very empathetic and does not like you to ask questions. He gave me a shot to the shoulder but it did not work. He does not seem to have good personal skills. My impression is that he should retire, because he does not seem to care for his patients.

Tore my meniscus March 17, 2018. Had surgery September 19, 2018. Last night I squatted for the first time in almost a year, without having to use the Smith Machine. Today I can barely walk, but it feels sooooo good. My knee felt great. My shoulder felt great holding the bar behind my neck. All is right in my workout world again. Dr. Behr at San Diego Orthopedics is the BEST!
