I have heard only good things about Dr. Howe. He is a very pleasant person. He will listteen to you and then discuss various alternative treatments. Makes the patient feel at ease, a rare commodity in today's physicians.
Dr. Howe is the highest level of respectful and professional. He treats and approaches every appointment with the same attitude. I know he wants what is best for me no matter what that means and works with me on how to accomplish that.
Went to doctor Chris Howe at Proliance Orthopedic Associates for chronic lower back, hip, and leg pain. His plan was epidural steroid shots with Dr. Chilczuk first then laminotomy, if necessary, for three vertebraes. The injections worked well for the lower right back but surgery was needed for lower left back . Dr Howe Performed spinal surgery on my father and did a wonderful job. Then spinal surgery was suggested for my husband and I asked him to see Dr Howe for a second opinion. He told him Not to do surgery. I was impressed by his honesty. He said it would not help his condition and would just be unnecessary surgery. So glad he did not just have the surgery with the other doctor who was just looking for work.

Dr. Howe performed my ACDF C5/6 after 6 months of failed conservative treatment. Muscle relaxers, anti inflammatory meds, neck injections all helped for a little while, but the pain came back. I was hesitant about surgery but Dr. Howe’s confidence and reassurance helped put my mind at ease. The surgery was textbook and went flawlessly. My recovery went better than I anticipated. I had very minimal pain and was back to work on 2.5 weeks. I am so grateful to this man for giving me my life back.
