Back surgery about 2 yrs ago. Talked once with him, prior to surgery, after that the next 3 visits (even though repeatedly asked) had to see a PA and he refused to see me to talk about recovery. He may be a descent(?) surgeon, he does not know how to talk with people. I am surprised he is in surgery and not into research where he can visit with himself.
Terrible service. My mother fractured her neck. She is 93 and never saw the doctor in the ICU. Had to wait 12 weeks for first office appointment and then saw a PA who did no exam at all. We wait up to three weeks for X-ray results, and phone messages are not returned.
Very informative of the surgical process. I had great results from two cervical surgeries.
Over 40 years of chronic back and leg pain, having had 6 previous surgical consultations over 10+ years. From the first visit with Dr Lotus I and my wife both felt very confident in his diagnosis, recommendations. and prognosis. He delivered just as he predicted! It is now 4 years later and I’m still low back and leg pain free at 77 years of age. I’m very thankful for Dr Lotus’ expertise, confidence and performance.
Not the doctor the nurses. First you never talk with the doctor the nurses refuse to help when you call them to get a prescription only Tuesday and Thursday. My mom was out of pain meds for 4 days before they would refill now in an er because they take their time to call back. She has been hurting the whole time since surgery and it seems like they don’t care.
Manner was poor bordering on rude.
Dr. Lothes saved my life. I had a ruptured brain aneurysm. Emergency surgery: He knew what to do and did it. 1 in 3 survive this surgery. 15 months later I am doing great. No real loss of any function. He is great!!
I was scheduled for L4-L5 Lumbar Spine Laminectomy & Interbody Fusion surgery using the PEEK (polyetheretherketone) plastic spinal implant for which I had approved. In the hospital after surgery I was informed that the PEEK Interbody was not used and I now had two stainless steel plates and four screws instead, for which I would never have approved beforehand. Now more than 14 months post surgery I have never seen Dr. Lothes at any post-op appointments and not even in the hospital following the surgery. I still have continua... read more
I came in with a ruptured disc that was keeping me incapacitated from pretty much everything in life, and was excruciatingly painful. Dr Lothes reviewed my case and it was determined that surgery was the only option for a positive outcome. The surgery was a great success and I was able to walk again correctly and the numbness in my leg disappeared the very next day. His care team did an amazing job coordinating my care.
