Their simple proceedure left me with internal bleedingfrom damage to prostate. She made sure she was the only doctor on the whole floor. I was screeming in pain. She had left to go to a wedding! No one was allowed to help me. She finally called and said this better be good! I three the phone down and refused to talk to her. This was a few years ago. I still get tears in my eyes recalling that horrible week in so much pain! I did not sue because I know she helps so many. With me they made a huge mistake.
Dr. Salem is one of the best doctors I have known. While being extremely professional and competent she is considerate, understanding, and consoling. She has a wonderful and therapeutic sense of humor and helps the patient gain perspective with their situation.

One heck of a surgeon. Spends all day every day saving lives and taking care of patients. Visits her patients in the hospital twice a day. Saturdays and Sundays included! Ask any of your doctor friends or any nurse at Mercy and they all rave about Dr Salem. No higher praise than that of your colleagues. A very dedicated and talented surgeon. Look no further.
Very short with people and changes Scheduled Appts at last minute In addition I’d recommend getting a second opinion before you go under the knife and all the complications that come with having your Prostate Removed If Radation is optional please consider it first, you may regret Later being talked into Surgery

I had suffered for months doing self-catheter under other doctors. Today I am healthy and happy with a PSA of near zero. I pee like a 25 year old and the other nerves work pleasantly too. From my research and experience if you have a prostrate issue there is no better doctor and robotic surgeon in San Diego.
