Dr. Kalorin treats his patients like he’s known them for decades. He doesn’t rush to get you on your way, he listens to your concerns and makes sure you have a full understanding.
As always, this is a very professional environment, I have the utmost faith and understanding of this practice. My doctor is amazing. He actually saved my life two years ago.
I saw Dr. Kalorin for the first a while ago and he was amazing. Recently, I had more kidney stones so I went back to see him.He rushes through things (I get it, he's a busy doctor), but when he says if you have any issues just call, that doesn't work so well. I went to the er with a kidney stone. Dr. K worked me in the next day and did surgery the day after that. He was very personable and informative. Great bedside manner. Would definitely recommend Dr. K for anyone who needs a urologist.
Dr. Kalorin is very personable, takes time to answer questions thoroughly and understandably, and is a skilled surgeon. Dr. Kalorin doesn't take risks. WakeMed Urology is a godsend to the area; they see you quickly and provide a detailed workup for kidney stones.
Had two kidney stones simultaneously, one obstructing and the other partially obstructing. Dr. Kalorin and the Kidney Stone Center team got me in for surgery quickly and utilized laser lithotripsy to remove all stones in the kidney and ureter. I was brought back soon after for the same procedure on the other side and provided the option to remove the stent at home. Dr Kalorin has removed a kidney stone for me and my daughter. Both of us were well taken care of. You cannot find a better physician to take care of your kidneys!
Not my first rodeo with kidney stones and unlike the last time (11 years ago, different doctor) this went flawlessly, from initial meeting through stone removal procedure (2 stuck in ureter, anther 1-2 still in kidney, all gone, other side clear). Could not have gone any better. Thoroughly explained diagnosis, where stones were located, options for treatment, and followed through to perfection. Cannot give a higher rated review. Hope you don't need him but if you do then see him, without hesitation. Simply the best.
Dr Kalorin, was very good at explaining the procedure and the follow up removal of the stint. The pain of Kidney Stones gives their removal a certain urgency but Dr Kalorin was kind and helped me get through it.
