After many months of intense back pain and treatments from other doctors that did not help me, I was living a very compromised daily life. I am grateful to have been a patient of Dr. Graft because he correctly diagnosed my issues. His professional concern gave me confidence to have the spinal fusion, and he was excellent in helping me to understand the procedure, as well as all aspects of my recovery. I feel he is the very best in his field.
After being misdiagnosed by another doctor and then being told I needed spinal fusion by yet another doctor, I did the research and found Dr. Carl Graf and made an appt. for a 3rd opinion and Dr. Graf was the best! He said, after looking at my x-rays and MRI that I did NOT need spinal fusion but just a laminectomy. He got me in as soon as possible (2 weeks) and my surgery was absolutely successful! After being treated by other doctors for back pain for some time I went to see Dr.Graf after the recommendation of my family doctor. it didn't take long t feel at ease with Dr Graf. After testing he showed and explained what I needed all you had to do was look at the radiology films and that is what he said at the very start.
For 2 years I had dealt with a work related back injury. Lower lumbar. The pain went from my lower back, burning down the side of my leg with tingling and numbness in my shin and top of my foot. Couldn't stand for more than 5 or 10 min without pain and having to sit or lay for relief. After all other attempts to correct my injury failed including epidurals, surgery was recommended. As you can imagine, that thought is scary and you can only hope you get the best possible surgeon! I DID! 5-STARS!
Dr graf performed a spinal fusion on me. It was my first surgery. He was clear in describing what he'd do and what to expect. He was confident without being arrogant... he listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. My recovery has gone very well and I'm back to living a full life!

I wrote a negative review on December 8, 2016 about the mismanagement in office personnel. I meant to get a retraction review out earlier. Since that time I did undergo physical therapy and had seen Dr. Graf again. He was very concerned about my experience and told me that the office management had revised their procedures. I was happy to hear that and felt I could return to his practice for further care. I plan to make an appointment to have further evaluation about my back pain.
Dr Graf is an excellent surgeon.He did surgery on my neck. After surgery I had a short recovery and I'm doing great. Highly recommended!
Disappointingly poor listener. Over an hour wait past appt time.
