doctor, he saved my baby's life. Eight years ago I went into labor at 16 weeks, everyone told me I would need to abort. Dr Iriye did an amazing surgery and put two cerclages in me, he believed it could work. I was bedridden for the remainder of the term, I had a healthy baby boy. I later found out that my perintolgist in Long Beach CA would have not done this. I was so lucky that I ws in Las Vegas at the time. While Dr. Iriye is quite knowledgeable about many aspects of perinatology and keeps very current with the latest recommendations in maternal-fetal medicine, his bedside manner leaves much to be desired. I am grateful to him for being thorough in diagnosing certain aspects that made me a high-risk pregnancy, but he had no compassion for me as a pregnant working woman. Dr.Iriye is our babies life savor & hero!! She had a fatal diagnosis from Dr. Adashek who ONLY wanted to abort her!! Dr. Iriye did a simple thyroid test that Adashek failed to do along w/testing seizure med dosage. Neither was at therapeutic level,discovered by the Dr. Iriye!!We thank God for his expertise in his field of medicine! Dr.Adashek pales in comparison. Our baby is alive because of Dr.Iriye. Dr. Iriye is the most knowlegeable, caring, concerned doctor in this city. After many miscarriages, he found that I had a blod clotting disorder and saved my only successful pregnancy. He IS the BEST and we love him!!!
I am 31 weeks pregnant and have had NO prenatal care. These doctors refused to see me because they said I was too far along!! I know I should have seen a doctor sooner..but I did not. Why did this office tell me to call every doctor in the phone book until I found one that would take me!!! I need a doctor to see me even if I did not see a doctor sooner. This doctor thinks the world of himself. He's got a god syndrome and treats everyone else like little people. Arrogant, smug, and holier-than-thou are some adjectives that come to mind. He lacks humility and respect for others. The other doctors in his practice are good, but stay away from Iriye unless you like self-absorbed types that look down their noses at non-MDs.
He is one of the most brilliant, talented, caring human beings I've ever had the privilege of meeting. This is a man who went out of his way on a weekend for me, just so I didn't have to be readmitted to the hospital for an opened emergency C-section. He saved my twins lives in 1996 and again with another pregnancy in 2002 and he still knew who I was. Dr. Iriye is the best doctor I have ever encountered. His office and staff are exceptional and very courteous. Furthermore he explains things in great detail and is very thorough with his diagnosis. I would recommend him unconditionally to anyone with a high-risk pregnancy. In fact I like him better that my regular OB/GYN. In addition, I read the post of the people before me and I can't believe someone had a bad thing to say about Dr. Iriye.
