We were so pleased with Dr Wiersma, after breaking my ankle and being seen in the ER. The staff was exceptional in getting me worked in right away. Dr Wiersma was so helpful and kind we were very pleased with his skills and bed side manner. I will refer anyone looking for an orthopedic doctor.
Dr Wiersma listens to the patient and gives detailed answers to any questions.
Dr. Weirsema is fantastic at what he does, but what makes him a standout, in addition to his expertise, is his compassion and kindness. I always feel heard and he consistently takes whatever time necessary and rather than the aloof behavior of lots of surgeons. He’s an amicable, kind human who never puts on airs of superiority. He’s just a regular guy who happens to be magnificent at what he does.
The staff is quick and efficient. You aren’t stuck waiting around for a long time. Dr. Wiersma is very knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend.

I have had some ongoing issues with my hip replacement that got complicated by having to have a knee repair and then was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Dr. Wiersma helped me a plan to rehab hip flexor issues that I think will be very helpful but it will be something I will have to do for the rest of my life to manage my situation.
Very easy to talk to.
Everyone of the office staff are kind and considerate.
Dr. Wieresma communicated the issue and was very clear on what my daughter needed to do before returning to sports, which is exactly what we needed to hear. Next time we will go directly to GLOC.
