RUN away from this office and doctor as fast as you can. She has a BIG history of taking on patients and abruptly firing them for cash grabs. It doesn’t matter how nice you are or how easy you are to work with. She will take you on, take your money and then lie to your face about how “it’s not working out”, might be your 3rd month of treatment, your 6th month, could be in a year. But this is something she does and it severely traumatizing many people in the Lyme community.
My kids and I love this Doctor. She has been there for us during some really difficult moments. I’m not sure where we’d be without her. She is incredibly smart, knowledgeable, compassionate and truly cares about helping her patients. We are forever so grateful to have found Dr. Birkmeier
It’s in "the little things" that made a big difference in my experience with Dr. Birkmeier and her team. She comes to my appointments prepared and ready to get to down to the business of getting healthy. Her direct approach was both refreshing and effective for me. The lady that answered my call sounded weird - Karen type silly sentences, and discouraged me to make appointment. I don’t really want to see people that employ such a staff.
Editing to add: multiple emails have been sent to apologize and try to become a patient again due to desperation and guess what? No response. That’s literally ignoring? Just an idea on truly not caring about their patients, it’s amusing to me since I’m not the patient - This place will take your money to establish a diagnosis and then drop you as a patient ((with no refund of thousands of dollars)) for displaying symptoms of your illness.
