Everything about Dr. Sattar is amazing. She has helped me with my medical conditions thoroughly and appropriately. Her office, on the other hand, is a mess. I have to work 2x as hard as I feel like I should to make sure my appointment was scheduled correctly, make sure my labs were sent, make sure they asked Dr. Sattar my questions and then make sure they got back to me with her answer. I have been more than patient and understanding to them, and after a year, I am just exhausted.
The initial testing was very interesting & informative, but there it ends. If you arehealthy, not a problem. But ishould you have a complex medical condition you will be told to go elsewhere without any explanation or clear referral. This is very poor and dangerous practice. While passing a patient off for real care is convenient for her & allows her to stay in the "first office visit, test-second visit interpret the test" conveyor belt method of practice,it can be dangerously unfair to pt
I believe Dr. Sattar is an exceptionally fine doctor. Unfortunately, the only time we see her is for blood test results, otherwise, you'll see the PA. That would be okay, however, ANY contact with the office staff is a nightmare. Mr. Sattar, in particular, is extremely rude. The office manager simply does not return phone calls and getting a prescription refill is always a challenge.
She is one of the best doctors I've ever had. I like her focus on wellness and enabling the body to help itself. The tests she orders are the most comprehensive I have seen so I like having a follow-up for explanations! The office staff can be disorganized but Dr. Sattar is worth it! Mr. Sattar's perceived 'rudeness ' was likely his frustration at a small language barrier. Once I got past my own impatience I have found him to be a very caring man.
Unfortunately there is not an option to give zero stars on here but anyway , Dr. Sattar's office is run by her mother and father! Her father is very unprofessional and seems to have some anger problems! They are running an unethical practice! They have a habit of a double dipping, they will hammer you and your insurance company for the same bill! Their staff is horribly trained, the waiting time to get in is outrageous! Sattar's assistant Debbie is always in a hurry!
I think she is the best doctor I have ever been to. She does enough tests to get to the root of the problem, makes a plan and follows through with care. Does not push prescriptions. If only all doctors were this way the world would be a much healthier society.
Dr. Satter is amazing & practices functional medicine which is exactly the comprehensive, pro-active approach I want for my health. At her first visit w/ new patients, she sits down w/ you & does a comprehensive interview about your health. She will establish a baseline for you & then partner w/ you to reach your health goals. Her approach is non-traditional & I had to adjust to this. Your 1st visit is an assessment not a check-up. Two completely different visits. Well worth it. Great staff too!
Called to scheduled an appointment and receptionist told me that he could not schedule annual check up if I do not have any problems, even through the insurance will cover it and they only do check up when you some health problems. He did schedule my appointment for Saturday and when I came in they had a diabetics class in the waiting room. When I told him that I have an appointment he let me know that I am not on the schedule. Very unprofessional!
I have only had contact with the nurse practitioner she is wonderful. The front office is a nightmare! They charged me for a co-pay...I'm on Medicare, there isn't a co-pay.Sultan insisted that the co-pay be paid, then they would file the claim and refund the co-pay after the medicare claim was paid. My family has tried to contact them several times regarding the refund and have not been successful. We have been told twice that the check would be mailed.I'm on a fixed income, I need my refund
