Dr. Dantz is an incredible psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for a year. I started seeing him for anxiety related to a cancer diagnosis. He is a fantastic listener and pays attention to every detail. He is so calm He is very knowledgable with medication management as well as mindfulness. He even managed my pain medication after a double mastectomy since I was having reverse side effects from the pain medications and the hospital team could not figure it out. Dr. Dantz has become one of the key people on my team and is alw... read more
I am a current client, whom has been under Dr Dantz' care since 2008. He helped me get through some tough times, during which he was easily available and by-my-side (and on my side) guiding me to the right combination of therapy, exercise, diet, and psychotropic medication management. He has incredible patience and insight. Dr Dantz has years of knowledge and first hand experience. He knows how to ask the right questions to get to the crux of the problem quickly. He takes impeccable notes to ensure continuity of care, and he... read more
I’ve been working with Dr. Dantz for several years, and he has been extremely helpful through some difficult personal experiences. His kindness, thoroughness, and discretion are exceptional. I have had a certain amount of anxiety with respect to medication, and I have always felt listened to and that my experience was being considered on its own merits.
Dr. Dantz is a kind and thoughtful medical professional whom I have known for many years. He has a wonderful sense of humor, strong attention to detail, and responds promptly to texts most anytime. Dr. Dantz has a long memory for details, is an active listener, and only wants the best for his patients. If you're in need, he's there to help.
As a LCPC, I have consulted with Dr. Dantz and sent patients his way. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. I find him to be very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. He meets with patients much longer for evaluations and routine visits than most psychiatrists and he still makes time to return my calls to coordinate care. He also trains psychiatric residents at Rush and has published articles about psychiatric meds. I highly recommend him, despite some patient reviews here.
2 YEARS OF CONFLICTING MEDS I BECAME WORSE BUT HIS ONLY CONCERN WAS CASH. MY NEW DR SAID HE COULDVE KILLED ME AND THATS FROM A TOP 10 CHICAGO PHYSICIAN
Business response:
It is disturbing to read this review. It is not always possible to predict which medications will be effective for a particular patient. I use considerable thought and time to choose a medication, and I always discuss my rationale and the potential risks. The patient and I decide together. I am sorry if treatment did not work out well for this individual. I don't think another professional would make dire pronouncements without discussing the case with me first.
Dr. Dantz is as good as they get! One of if not the the smartest and most insightful person I've ever met. He has been an incredible help to me.
