I have been seeing Dr. Dantz for just about 24 years and I cannot recommend any physician more highly. He is the most caring and responsive physician I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His willingness to accommodate me and even family members (in special cases) has been above and beyond. The breadth of his knowledge is unparalleled when compared to other doctors, both primary care and specialists, with whom I have worked. Not being a physician myself, it still seems to me that this puts his psychiatric treatment w... read more
I have been seeing Dr. Dantz for over a decade, even when logistics have made it challenging, because he's well worth it to me. He's the only psychiatrist that has ever treated me like a human being first and a patient second. He listens to my concerns about my moods and motivation levels, my medications and side effects, and what is or isn't working for me. More importantly, he respects my intelligence, the independent research I do, and my opinions on my treatment. I never feel like I'm being told what to do or pushed into... read more
By the time I had my first appointment with Dr. Bezalel Dantz I was already disillusioned with medical professionals and medication. When I met him, I told him “I’ll do whatever you tell me, but I’m highly doubtful it will work. At this point I can’t imagine a future where I wake up with a smile”. I don’t know if he took that as a challenge, but I have never been more relieved to be proven wrong. Dr. Dantz is the first doctor I’ve had that wasn’t happy with “fine” or “good enough”, he always wants me to feel better than I di... read more
I struggled with trichotillomania for years, and none of the prescription medications I tried seemed to make a real difference. Eventually, Dr. Dantz recommended an over-the-counter supplement—NAC (N-acetylcysteine)—that I could order from Amazon. I was skeptical at first, especially because it felt strange to be prescribed something herbal rather than pharmaceutical. But to my surprise, it genuinely helped reduce my urges and gave me a sense of control I hadn’t felt in a long time.
Extremely thorough and thinks outside the box. My Grandma had a TBI 20 years ago and since then had been steadily declining hadnt been speaking or communicative in 10 years. He put her on a new medication that no other physician had previously recommended and she is showing unbelievable improvement and is now talking and engaging with us.
After every visit with Dr. Dantz, I feel like I have learned something new and helpful to me. He asks the right questions, answers mine, and is an attentive, empathic listener. He's an exerienced practitioner who keeps on top of new developments in his field.
Exceptional
Compassionate. Kind. Brilliant
Dr. Dantz is exceptional; He listens to my circumstances/treats me as a respected woman, not as a textbook definition of a genre of person. He carried me through a 2+ year trauma, and I came out with poise and confidence. I stopped treatment in December and recently started again; I trust him and there's no doubt he will continue to grow with me as my mental health needs change; He's a lifelong choice of doctor.
