The hospital missed the HepB vaccine for our 3 week early premie, so we were told to have it done by our pediatrician. At the appointment, we requested that the vaccine be delayed for 1 month to avoid the possibility of a fever, since a fever at that age means an ER visit (a recommendation from Dr. Gallant herself). Dr. Gallant insisted that our daughter get the HepB vaccine during that visit as per CDC recommendations, and misinformed us that a fever was not a possibility.
