On 27 June, 2016, I was transported to Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine. I was told on examination that I had a life-threatening infection in my left leg, and that I might well die shortly. On arrival at MCH in Odessa, I was told that my infection comprised necrotizing fasciitis. It had reached high on my leg, and immediate surgery was vital. Dr. Cunningham's upbeat personality and crisma kept me alive. He kept my hopes and spirits high. Dr.Cunningham saved my life and I am forever grateful.
My son was life-flighted to the hospital, and Dr. Cunningham and his team took great care of him. My son had a motorcycle accident, with bones coming through his leg. They were able to stabilize him until we could bring him home to The Woodlands and have follow-up surgeries. We only saw him in the hospital, so the other questions don't apply; however, he was very timely in the hospital.
We have been working with Dr Cunningham for almost 2 weeks . He has taken very good care of us . He explains everything to us step by step and is patient with us during this difficult time. We look forward to working with such a great Doctor.
Dr. Cunningham has been up front with me about my broken shoulder. He has been right on all issues.
I was told to call and make a two week checkup for my son n law, I called day before yesterday and was told they would call back, they didn't, so I called today and was told he had an appointment yesterday and was a no show, I told them he was out of pain meds and then proceed to tell me give him Tylenol for three fractures in his pelvis,
I would highly recommend Dr. Cunningham. It is an excellent surgeon and takes time to explain everything in detailed and in layman terms, so it's easy to understand. Dr. Cunningham worked miracles when my brother fell off a metal roof and broke his back.
Dr. Cunningham keeps telling me that he wants my son back at the beginning of the month but his office people keep giving us an appointment for the end of the month. Dr. Cunningham and the nurses are wonderful but his front office staff is not so good.
Will absolutely recommend Dr. Cunningham.He explained my x-rays as well as what he would be doing the next day in surgery to fix my broken bone.From what I experienced,I can tell he cares for his patients.Great dr.
