Very rude!! Makes me jump through hoops to get meds refilled but takes his time, sometimes days, to refill them!!!
Very unsupportive, and critical. Asks the same questions at every visit and spends about 5 minutes with me. Often delays medication refills. I do not recommend this physician.
I went to this doctor because I was referred by my psychologist and I read many good reviews about his practice online. I was severely disappointed upon meeting him. He was disrespectful and rude to me. I do not understand how anyone with his knowledge in psychiatry could be so unprofessional and unhelpful. I had to cancel my second appointment with him because I was so dissatisfied with our first meeting that I refuse to ever see him again. Best doctor I've ever had, caring compassionate and really knows medicine. Wait times are long because he serves so many patients. I had severe problems and he tried many different medications before finding a good combination.
Dr. Azatian is helpful as long as you're not in crisis. I tried to get a hold of him for 3 days and he never returned my call. On day 3 I called his office twice and stated that it was urgent that I see him. It was during my second call that the receptionist agreed to an appt. at 3:15 p.m. He took his 3:30 p.m. appt. before me. I walked out of the office and didn't hear from him until 6 p.m. that evening. He suggested that I was "attention seeking" and that he was prepared to apologize, but he did not feel bad. Dr.Ash is the best doctor I have EVER had. He really knows what he's doing and he explains things well so that I understand exactly what is going on and can weigh in on some of the decisions for my care. He will call you back at all hours....once I called at 4am and he got on the phone w/me for a good 45mins. to help me make til morning to go to see him. I have seen Dr. Azatian for over 2 years now and I would highly recommend him. The only downside is sometimes I have to wait between 10-30 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I get in, but believe me the loss of time is worth the great care and knowledge he provides.
