Dr Azatian is a great doctor in his field, he has over 20 yrs experience so he has seen which combination of medicine works and which don’t. He listens, explains, and educates his patients well. He also returns calls for emergency situations even on the weekends. I trust him for my mental health needs.

I've seen Dr. Azatian for almost three years and have been really happy with his care. He's extremely methodical in prescribing new medications and very knowledgeable as well. I have severe treatment resistant depression and he's been so patient and thorough in finding me the right treatment plan. He's always shown concern over my mental and physical health and even takes time to ask about my personal and professional life. He is habitually late, which is annoying, but I'm willing to overlook that because he's a great doctor... read more

Lack sensitivity; does not want to coordinate care with other members of my care team; rude. I hate going in to see him but it's so hard to get in to see a psychiatrist in Lubbock.

I found Dr. Azatian to be friendly but unprofessional. I usually scheduled my appointments at 8 AM (his earliest available) so I could still make it to work on time, but he was never there at 8. On some occasions he didn't arrive until after 9, and on one occasion I had to leave before my appointment to go to work. His visits were always very perfunctory, and he either didn't keep detailed notes or didn't review them before meeting with patients. On one of my last visits he opened by asking if I had any new stressors in my l... read more

Very good doctor. He is straightforward & to the point. He doesn’t sugarcoat anything which is necessary, I think, for someone with mental illness. His staff works very hard to make sure patients are taken care of. I’m sad by the negative reviews of the staff. Those girls work hard, deal with a hundred or so patients a day between 5 different doctors. I’ve noticed people can be very demanding & rude to the girls; maybe be nicer to someone you want help from? Over all great office!

Poor communication and overall unprofessional. Very disappointing.
