She is very professional and listens to my concerns. She is personable and actually takes the time to exam me when warranted. Most drs now days just have blood tests done and determines everything from that, hardly ever doing an exam or taking the time to see how you are really doing. She treated me for a serious ailment and was excellent with follow up after. I consider Dr Lowenthal one of the few drs that are very thorough and do not rush you out of the office because they’re too busy. The follow-up of her staff is also ex... read more
This is a rubber stamp doctor who is wooden and unconcerned about the patient. Just another car in the shop.
Went to see this "Dr" for my yearly physical. She did everything a yearly physical will require however after discussing my skin issues I've had in the past and my allergies to triple antibiotic ointment. I have had simple cut turn into a serious reaction that with continued use caused an infection. I was prescribed another ointment from a dermatologist from Oahu but she refused giving me the same prescription. I was told to use vaseline if I cut myself I was not happy with that response. There is no consumer safety involved... read more
Was probably the most degrading visits with a Doctor that I have seen- I've lived here all my life-I am part of this community and I have seen doctors come and go from the Mainaland- shes the worse to locals- spoke down to me, wouldn't let me finish speaking- dismissed my health concerns. I don't believe she is for helping anybody but herself and her pocket.
Dr. Lowenthal and her office staff are always pleasant and helpful. I've never waited too long at her office. She also managed to diagnose a condition that previous doctors had missed. She is very thorough and takes time to talk and understand your health concerns. The only downside is that her current office is very small and outdated. But hopefully that will change soon when the relocate offices.
Seems very competent and professional. Has given me all the time and attention that I have required.
Absolutely horrible. Performs women's wellness exams and didn't know what a menstrual cup is.. she messed up the slides for my pap.. asked if I wanted to get on the table again to try again. Awful, just awful. To top it all off, she refused to prescribe me Zoloft... a medication I was previously prescribed by another doctor. She told me I needed to go to a psychiatrist for it... the whole experience was terrible.
I was really hoping to love Blvd. Family Practice. The office staff was unpleasant on the phone. I had the first apointment of the day and still had to wait almost 45 minutes before seeing Dr. Lowenthal. She suggested many (unnecessary) medications and she felt uncomfortable prescribing a basic (not a narcotic or controlled substance) medication used to treat a chronic condition. Despite Dr. Lowenthal's calm and empathetic presence I don't think I'll be back.
She was both friendly and professional, with excellent bedside manner.
