I've been a patient of Dr. Chavez for 11 years. He saved my life. He is kind, professional, extremely intelligent, eager to answer questions and a skilled surgeon. His staff is amazing. He is the best urologist in Tucson. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I tried to schedule an appt,, but they insisted I have records transferred from my current urologist, who I am having problems with... before Dr. Chavez would see me... as he apparently picks and chooses which patients he will see. I didn't want to burn my bridges before making sure Dr Chavez would treat me, and requesting records transfer would do that... the receptionist pretty much said 'tough luck'.
No masks required for patients or staff. Very irresponsible as we are currently in a "high transmission" area, and masks are still recommended indoors by both the CDC and Pima County Health. Charged $50 for a consultation only to tell me to find another doctor if I didn't like his mask policy. This guy is all about profits, not patients' health. I'd give zero stars if possible.
Dr Chavez is an exceptional physician; one who is willing to go above and beyond for his patients. For example, while getting a run-around in the hospital ER, Dr. Chavez literally took time from his office schedule to come to the hospital and resolve issues with the ER attending physicians. Highly recommend Dr. Chavez for vasectomy. I was nervous about the whole procedure but Dr. Chavez is very confident and assuring. I felt comfortable with him. Recovery was smooth and easy. No issues. I didn't even have to wait for my appointment. He was right on time, if not early.
