The doctor basically told me to find somewhere else to go at my first appt. Wasted 2 hours of my day. I’m not gonna waste my breath- that should tell you to avoid this office at all costs.
Reading through the negative reviews, it seems every complaint was that the rating was based on the person not understanding appropriate treatment options, not getting their way, and suffering from severe long-term mental illness while expecting to be instantaneously cured. One negative rating was based on needing to take a phone call, which must have been critical or would not have been taken during a session. Dr. Parikh is an expert in his field, sits on the Board of local hospitals, and teaches at NEO Medical School. High... read more
I’ve been in the medical field for over 10 years and NEVER has a doctor refuse treatment because you previously saw a colleague, friend of his. He straight out said he -himself- is not as good of a doctor as his colleague and he will not see, treat my husband nor can anyone on his team treat him. He then walked us out of his office. Unbelievable!!! …And the reason we were seeing him in the first place was my husband isn’t getting better -he’s actually getting worse- while seeing his colleague.
If I could leave a negative amount of stars, I would. The Dr is incredibly rude. At my 1st appointment, he refused to see me until I made a payment. I dont have a copay and I'm not required to make a payment until my insurance is ran. I was then questioned about why I have the insurance I do. I should not have been questioned about my Insurance. I was treated very poorly and this is unacceptable especially with the mental state of mind I was in. I called to dispute me having to pay the remainder of my bill due to the way I w... read more
He is my brother in law's psychiatrist. My brother in law has serious mental issues that this psychiatrist didn't do anything to help. My brother in law is extremely bipolar, obsessive compulsive, narcissistic, self centered, verbally abuses my sister and for the last 40 years has caused so many problems that have destroyed our family. I have a minor in psychology and do understand what is going on. His father and I tried to help get him better help but he wouldn't listen. He now is dangerous to my sister. He won't follow MDs... read more
Dr Parikh is a terrible, unsympathetic clinician. He has no empathy and is unfit to be a psychiatrist. He had a TV on during my $400 appointment and actually left to take a non-emergency phone call while I was in his office. I’ve been to many doctors over the course of my 30 year battle with depression and have never been so offended. His office was dirty, decrepit and disgusting with a horrible stench. His license should be revoked.
Horrible Dr. Horrible Human Being. Worst experience of my life. I have contacted the State Medical Board to file an official complaint he was so bad. There is a reason it take 30+ days to see a psych but this guy will see ANYONE in 48 hrs. Should have been a red flag, in addition to all the poor reviews. He is condescending, smug, disinterested, and wants to get you out of the office as soon as possible. Worst experience of my life in terms of medical care.
Dr. Parikh is a real piece of dirt. Do not see him. I moved here from out of state a few years ago and arranged to join his practice as a patient. Every time I needed him he was terrible, uninterested, and just plain awful. His staff is awful. Decided to give him another chance years later and he has proven me correct again. He is the worst, and if you ever have to have an interaction with him you are making a mistake in your life. Please, turn the other way. Find another practice. There are goo
I would leave -10 stars if I could. Do NOT go to this doctor. I was charged $3,000 to pay Parikh, which is the fault of his office and our old insurance company. But we cannot get a hold of anyone at his office to just get a letter to send to the collections agency that is now suing us for this amount. I do not owe this charlatan a dime. Please do not go to this doctor. His care philosophy is a joke. This nightmare is going to give my husband a heart attack or stroke, or both.
Dr. Anil M. Parikh, MD has a 2.4 star rating with 53 reviews.
