Dr. Ritting is exceptional, understanding orthopedic doctor. I drove down to Pennsylvania from New York to get help for my knuckle. the doctor I saw up here wanted to fuse the finger straight which would have made my right hand difficult to use. Dr. Ritting put in the knuckle replacement, now I can almost make a fist again after 4 weeks. With NO pain. The nurse that took off my bandage was very nice and knew what I needed when I fainted. Feeling rather wimpy, she assured me that it happens quite often.

Dr Ritting has a great bedside manner—professional yet friendly. He greeted me and sat down at eye level with me to talk and gave me his full attention. He knew my medical history when he came into the room.

Day 2 here and after fog induced stupor of strong anesthesia post surgery effects, the fog has cleared along with dead arm from nerve block shot as well.Pain at 0-1 just minimal soreness, so no pain meds needed. But, I was irritable at Hospt post surgery due to fog and inability to figure out how I'm gonna function one arm only. Well, I had plenty of experienced help (retired nurses) stopping over, plus a dog walker. All has worked out very well rather quickly. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be if my dominan... read more

He answered all of my questions and calmed my anxiety regarding the cortisone injection he gave me which I thought I would have to receive in another appointment. Pleasantly surprised that I was able to receive the x-ray and injection all in one visit. Outstanding service and professionalism.
