I fractured my shoulder. During my first visit with Dr. Ritting he explained the immediate and long term treatment plan. When he determined it was necessary for me to start PT, he personally walked me up to the secretary and explained in detail his orders. Very happy with his care!
The most competent, compassionate and thorough surgeon I've ever gone to! I know I'm in great hands while under his care and feel safe knowing he's my doctor. Sometimes there's a wait to see him, but he always gives me all the time in the world so he's worth the wait. He also called me on a Saturday, on his day off, to check on me after my surgery and answered all of my questions! 5 stars across the board.
Dr. Ritting recently treated me for my wrist. Dr. Ritting was professional and approachable. He explained to me in detail what was wrong with my wrist, and outlined my treatment options. Days later, I had full relief from my pain! I could not be happier with my experience and outcome and will continue to see him for any future orthopedic issues.
Dr Ritting is an excellent surgeon, but he doesn’t follow up with you after surgery. After surgery you see Nurse practitioners and Physician Assistants, and unless you specifically insist on seeing him, which I did once, due to a fall, you won’t. I was discharged from care six months after shoulder surgery, and didn’t even see him then. The time I did see him, he never even looked at my shoulder or checked range of motion. He didn’t seem interested in the outcome.
This is an addition to my previous review. While I was very impressed with DR Ritting before surgery, am nearly five weeks post op and havent. seen him since. My post op was with PA, and then had visit due to inflammation. Saw NP who faxed rx which ins denied. When I called dr was told a note would be placed in my chart, and that it could take several days. Asked someone to call me, & told note placed in chart. 24 hrs later no meds. Dr Ritting fine office no. So couldn’t recommend.

DR.RITTING HAS DONE REVERSE SHOULDER OPERATION ON BOTH SHOULDERS; 2015 AND 2016. HIGHLY PLEASED WITH DR. RITTING AND HIS STAFF BOTH PROFESSIONALLY AND PERSONALLY. I AM 89 AND HE HAS NOT LET AGE DETER HIS RX OF ME. I NOW HAVE FULL USE OF MY SHOULDERS. NO PAIN.
He was very professional and also he had a great bed side manner. Excellent surgeon.
