Dr Ritting was able to get me in very quick after i was experiencing severe knee pain. After some discussion and some home therapies, it was decided I needed to have surgery on my meniscus tear. From start to finish, he was professional and caring. I would recommend him to anyone in the Finger Lakes and surrounding area looking for an awesome orthopedic surgeon!
I was referred to Dr. Ritting for a second opinion for a hand injury I suffered at work. After 6 weeks of appointments, the original doctor treating my injury told me that there was nothing else I could do for the pain I was still experiencing. Dr. Ritting was quickly able to diagnose and treat my remaining pain. Since that time, Dr. Ritting also treated my other hand for carpal tunnel. I was able to schedule the carpal tunnel release surgery when it was convenient for me and I am now completely symptom free in my right (dom... read more
I was beyond impressed with my experience with Dr. Ritting and his office! Despite his busy practice, I was able to get an appointment within a day. Dr. Ritting is very knowledgeable, accommodating and made me feel comfortable. I received excellent care and I recommended him to several of my friends & family.
Went in for elbow pain ended up having surgery on my wrist (which he said could help my elbow) It didn't. Had a cortisone shot in my elbow. No numbing at all. Worst pain I've ever experienced in my life. Halfway home I could not move my arm. Feels like it was hit with sledgehammer. Pain is seriously unbearable and they treat you like you're an addict. They did this to me....I didn't.
Dr. Ritting repaired my shoulder after I damaged three of the muscles holding it in place. He spent over two hours repairing because one muscle was torn in half and retracted. I am now seeing him for carpel tunnel in both wrist. I highly recommend him to anyone that wants the best in class.
I fractured my shoulder. During my first visit with Dr. Ritting he explained the immediate and long term treatment plan. When he determined it was necessary for me to start PT, he personally walked me up to the secretary and explained in detail his orders. Very happy with his care!
The most competent, compassionate and thorough surgeon I've ever gone to! I know I'm in great hands while under his care and feel safe knowing he's my doctor. Sometimes there's a wait to see him, but he always gives me all the time in the world so he's worth the wait. He also called me on a Saturday, on his day off, to check on me after my surgery and answered all of my questions! 5 stars across the board.
Dr. Ritting recently treated me for my wrist. Dr. Ritting was professional and approachable. He explained to me in detail what was wrong with my wrist, and outlined my treatment options. Days later, I had full relief from my pain! I could not be happier with my experience and outcome and will continue to see him for any future orthopedic issues.
Dr Ritting is an excellent surgeon, but he doesn’t follow up with you after surgery. After surgery you see Nurse practitioners and Physician Assistants, and unless you specifically insist on seeing him, which I did once, due to a fall, you won’t. I was discharged from care six months after shoulder surgery, and didn’t even see him then. The time I did see him, he never even looked at my shoulder or checked range of motion. He didn’t seem interested in the outcome.
