I now see why this Dr has received so many 1 stars. My 89-year-old Dad showed up for an appointment with only a scan of his medicare card and his ID because he had recently been robbed. The office staff stated that they were not willing to see him because it was the Dr's policy that he needed the original documents to see a patient. They would not allow me to pay cash for the appointment and they would not take a scanned copy of the documents. My Dad is very ill and is in pain with his toe. Dr. Kassel has always been amazing with me. His front office staff is horrendous. This is the 2nd go around with his staff and this one is even worse than the first. Really sad for this great doc. Pathetic. How do you let a doc know that his staff is hurting his business?

This man should be run out of town on a rail. PLEASE don’t waste your time or money! Podiatric medicine has passed him by. He will give you ill-fitting inserts and then make you pay for them anyway. He gave me a cortisone shot that caused a permanent injury. His staff is rude and incompetent.

I would shoot him if I could. He performed a bunyonectomy on me several years ago and afterwards gleefully pointed out that he pointed the big toe inward so I could wear pointed toe shoes/heels. Has caused me nothing but pain. Big toe rubs against next toe causing painful corns and recurring of bunyon. Used me as a guinea pig for a "great idea" which didn't work. Dr. Kassel is the best. I had bunions on both feet which caused hammer toes to the 2nd toe on both feet. I had surgery in the fall of 2014 on the right foot which was the worse of the two. Then in the fall of 2015, I had the same surgery on the left foot. Three years later I couldn’t be happier. After the healing, I no longer have pain in either foot and no longer have to wear wide shoes. I couldn’t be happier, he’s so good at what he does. If I had a 3rd foot, he could fix that too, ha!

My review is of the front office. I tried to make an appointment to take care of a painful and urgent situation with my toe. Very unsympathetic Heather "helped" me by scheduling an appointment more than two weeks in the future. I asked her to refer me to another podiatrist who might see me sooner. She said, "There is a doctor named Taylor. I don't know if he is still around." I asked his first name. She had no idea. Still waiting for my appointment and feeling upset. I am a returning patient.

Dr. Kassel is the best. He helped me with my bone spurs. His bedside manners are excellent. The office staff is very friendly. The whole experience was just incredible. Had my surgery at Midtown and the experience there was also excellent. Thank you Dr. Kassel.
