My one year checkup with Dr. Jawa this week was a reminder of just how special he is. Gifted, thorough, and at all times fully aware of just how importance the surgeon-patient relationship is! This was the 5 year follow-up appointment for the total reverse shoulder replacement Dr. Jawa performed at New England Baptist in August 2017. Today, x-rays were taken and I was seen by Dr. Jawa, who said the images showed that my shoulder was in excellent condition and that there was no displacement or erosion in the joint. Dr. Jawa is a regional and national expert in total shoulder joint replacement performing 200-250 per year. He’s extremely kind and compassionate as is his whole team. I highly recommend him. He performed my revision reverse total shoulder joint replacement at New England Baptist Hospital. Already my postop pain on day 1 is far less than my preop pain. I highly recommend him.
I first met Dr. Jawa just under two years ago when he did my right shoulder replacement. I was very impressed with the way he thoroughly explained what to expect prior to, during and after the surgery. He called me the following morning and he kept in touch with me to be sure that I was doing well. I trust him to do another surgery for me and I highly recommend him.
I am very happy with Dr. Jawa’s total replacement of my right shoulder. Before surgery, It was terribly painful and I could barely move it. Now it works beautifully.
