Dr Jawa is brilliant and yet very approachable. He explains clearly what needs to be done and why and then does it in the most professional, compassionate way. The surgery experience was a good one and I would certainly recommend him in the future.
As a Right Arm Shoulder Amputee my Left arm is very important to me over the years I have used and abused my left arm. As a young man at 20 is when I lost my Right arm. Sports was my life I played softball, football, racquetball and down hill skyed. All of these sports caused injury to my left arm after numerous repairs and still in pain I used narcotics for over 15 years, Basically at night to help me sleep. After Dr. Jawas surgery I was pain free for the first time in years. I no longer use narcotics and I'm pain free and ... read more
My in-person visit with Dr. Jawa was excellent! We discussed my need for a reverse shoulder replacement. He was kind, patient, informative, knowledgeable; honest regarding possible outcomes/risks and advantages, listened to my thoughts and concerns, collaborative, helped with my scheduling. Dr. Jawa was highly recommended to me by two former patients of his, and I recommend him very highly as well!
Had full reverse shoulder replacement 2 weeks ago. Absolutely no pain since coming out of anesthesia. Recovering very well. Extremely optimistic about my final outcome. Dr. Jawa is a great surgeon and a super person to work with. If you have any reluctance about getting a shoulder replacement, see Dr. Jawa and go for it.
Dr Jawa is a compassionate, and knowledgeable physician.I had a reverse Lt Shoulder done 1 year ago.The surgery went well, and I had hardly any pain after surgery. He is above competent surgeon and would highly recommend him.
I saw Dr. Jaws for right shoulder, which needed to be replaced. I had a reverse shoulder replacement. I'm very happy with the results. At 12 weeks PO, I have no pain, and most of my mobility back. Working on gaining strength. Dr. Jaws has a great "bedside" manner. Explains everything, called the night before the surgery to see if I had any questions, saw him twice before surgery, a few times after, just really attentive. His office staff, PA, and other medical staff, are also great. Calls are returned immediately, appts. are... read more
Dr Andrew Jawa is a highly accomplished, skilled, and experienced shoulder joint replacement surgeon. Also, the best part about my experience with him is that he is a very kind, compassionate, and caring human being. He will listen to all your concerns and explain everything to you. After consulting with five top shoulder joint replacement surgeons in New England, I selected Dr Jawa as the best choice. I highly recommend him.
I went to see Dr. Jawa to get a second opinion on whether I should have shoulder surgery. He spent close to 45 minutes with me listening to me explain my situation (a failed rotator cuff repair), explaining what was happening in my shoulder, setting me up with a specific physical therapist, and explaining my options. In comparison, my first consult spent 5 minutes with me and, in writing the referral for physical therapy, got major pieces of information incorrect. Since I am not having surgery at this time, I can't comment o... read more
