Well, I am still waiting to hear back from the Lakewood Orthopedic office so I can come in. It seem that it takes an Act of Congress to get an appointment! Why is it so difficult to be seen in this day and age. Just doesn't seem like doctors care anymore.

I was referred to Dr. Andrew Wassef for treatment of osteoarthritis in my knee by another Dr. I hold in high regard. On my initial visit my knees were X-rayed. Dr. Wassef discussed the X-rays with me and asked me very good and pertinent questions about my condition and my goals. One thing (of many) that stuck with me is when Dr. Wassef told me he is treating me not my X-rays. If it were not for Dr. Andrew Wassef I would be in a wheelchair. He told me he had never had a patient like me - both fake hips infected at the same time, plus a fungus and the infection on the right hip. To clear up the whole mess required four (4) surgeries and most of 2014!! Dr. Wassef did a difficult re-do of my first hip replacement, a re surface that I was having a reaction with the metal. Everyone was worried and the two local orthopedic doctors I consulted were not qualified. Dr. Wassef was wonderful, confident and caring. My hip is fantastic, I do yoga ,hike and ride a mountain bike. I highly recommend him for orthopedic surgery.

He truly is a credit to his profession. My surgery went without a hitch the score was minimal the pain was minimal. I have wonderful team in the surgery room as well as therapy. My recovery was quite fast and I thank him for that. Looks like I'll have the right one done soon. I highly recommend him He's a wonderful doctor.

First I would like to say my mobility is much better than before my surgery, this procedure has made my life so much better with so much less pain. Everything I was told before the procedure was very accurate as far as what to expect before and after the procedure. The doctor is very attentive and easily communicates what all is going to be happening. I liked that he spoke directly to me rather than just my mother. Other doctors just assume that because i bring my mother that she is the one making decisions. I also liked the staff because they were very helpful.

This was my one year check up for my second hip replacement. I thought that my first one was good, but my experience with Dr. Wassef was even better. I have no pain at all. I wish I had found him sooner. He treats you like the only person in the world which does run up the wait times. But Dr. Wassef is worth it
