Dr. Gianoukakis was my doctor from 2011 to 2018, while I was enrolled in a clinical trial for a new drug. During this time I saw him quite a lot, and I grew to admire and deeply appreciate his care, his professionalism and his bedside manners. He's obviously extremely compentent as a scientist/physician but just --if not more- important in my view is the intangible component of optimism and empathy.
