I was not very impressed; she dismissed a few concerns about a rash my son had. She ordered a blood draw and never followed up with a message or notes. Maybe she is just overworked but I had to take both my kids to another doctor to follow up. Very disappointed with follow up.
Dr. Andrea Mertz has been our pediatrician for about a year now, and I can confidently say she’s the best we’ve encountered. Both of my daughters see her, and every visit has gone above and beyond our expectations. She is incredibly kind, cooperative, helpful, and knowledgeable. Her warm and patient approach makes every appointment a positive experience for both the kids and us as parents. What makes it even better is that her entire staff shares the same level of professionalism and care. always welcoming and supportive. Lack of empathy to exhausted parents who were also with health problems. She is a good protocol's follower but incapable to use her own discretion and be flexible. We did get any help from her.
Dr. Mertz has been a great resource for our newborn twins. She has twins herself and I find her to be empathetic, knowledgable (especially during this pandemic), and patient with our questions/concerns.
My kids are so comfortable with her. She’s a great pediatrician.
I had a meet and great with her and everything seemed fine. Then when I went to schedule with the office, they first scheduled me and then called back later denying us because our kids immunization records weren't fully up to date. They didn't even give us a chance to catch-up. She also told me she could treat one of my children and then the office later said she would not treat that condition. This office wasted quite a bit of my time that I could have been looking for another doctor.
Dr. Mertz has been wonderful with my twin boys. She really takes the time to listen and address all my questions and concerns, and is very friendly and kind. She has twins as well, so really can help answer questions twin moms face. Having a doctor who understands twin parenting has been a wonderful help.
I feel that Andrea truly care about the well being of our baby girl. She is soo patient with my questions, it's hard being a new mother. They have a great after hour call service, which they have been extremely responsive too. Highly recommend.
She never explained any condition or test result on time. Maybe she was busy, I don't know but that affected us. She was at Avista Hospital and showed up only twice in weeks.
