Now 7 months after LAL, I am getting glasses that will hopefully correct this surgery. I believe Dr. Salz is more interested in the fee he collects from this TOTALLY OUT OF POCKET, NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE procedure, rather than the comfort and results for his patients.I really hope that this review helps someone make a more informed decision before having this type of Light Adjustable Lens (LAL) surgery. It is a long process, and the outcomes are not always desirable. I think I would have been better off getting the regular... read more

I had cataracts and could have chosen the traditional surgery, which is fully covered by Medicare - but would probably have required glasses afterward. Hoping to restore my vision to see without glasses, I opted to pay myself for what was presented as the best treatment, restoring my vision to near 20-20. Almost $9,000 out of pocket later - following 2 surgeries, numerous visits, and weeks of blurriness and crusting - my vision seems WORSE than before. I now need new glasses for driving and reading; even so, my night vision ... read more

I went in for cataract surgery. Dr. Salz recommended inserting a light adjustable lens at the same time which was supposed to correct my far vision. Not only was my far vision not corrected, but my near vision got worse. I now see a halo when it is dark and I always feel as if something is in my eye. Every time I tried to discuss it with him, he dismissed my concerns and told me that this was what I asked for. Stay away!

I went to have cataract surgery in both eyes and opted to have the corrective vision lenses. Yes insurance doesn’t cover the extra high expense for the correction lenses, but that’s not the fault of the office. I found everyone there to be polite and respectful. The wait was usually not excessive except once, and Dr Salz explained that was because he was the weekend doctor on call and had a lot of sudden emergencies to handle. (Fine, the emergencies need to come first!). I am very, very happy with the surgery. So what if his... read more

I had cataract surgery a few years ago and after hearing some negative comments about Dr Salz, I decided I would judge for myself. He was very professional and I had great results. Don’t be so quick to believe everything you hear and read.

I had LASIK done by Dr. Salz - amazing experience. The wait was reasonable compared with the other places I went for an evaluation. Dr. Salz went over all my options in detail, and I felt very comfortable that I was making the right decision. The results speak for themselves, my vision is better than its ever been. Highly recommend!

Wait time is unacceptable. Appt made 6 months in advance and we still have to wait an hour and a half? Sometimes it's longer. And waiting room was packed. During COVID? Just unacceptable. Finding a new doctor.

Wow! The staff is extremely rude. Their most pressing questions are when will you pay me. The answer: upfront. I’m not comfortable paying any physician upfront for surgery when who knows what the result will be. After waiting four hours being shuffled from place to place like sheep. Think it may be wise to stay away from this greedy practice.

Friendly staffing, was able to accommodate to my schedule and get me in as soon as they had an opening. Patients truly comes first. Highly recommend!
