I I have been a patient of Oak Street Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky for three years. I find the staff to be kind and understanding. Unfortunately the people that are answering the phones for refills are incompetent and do not notify the doctor of refills needed. I have gone four days in severe pain on multiple occasions because of these incompetent people. I have talked to the doctor and to John who I'm assuming may be the manager. Oak Street Health is a TERRIBLE healthcare provider. Visited yesterday and was seen 20 minutes after appointment time (understandable, it happens). Blood pressure was high. Requested referral to cardiologist. Had to argue for doctor to agree to make referral. Suggested referral to ent specialist. Also new prescription to be called in. After visit was left in patient room for 20 minutes before someone came and apologized for forgetting to bring in visit summary paperwork. Waited months for an appointment. They said it would take 40 minutes, it doesn’t. The place was dead, there were only three patients waiting. The staff is great, warm, and friendly but that is where it ends. 40 minutes is a LONG time in my life, I am a caregiver and don’t have a lot of time. To sit around for 45 minutes and STILL not be seen is rude and disrespectful of my time. Additionally, they want 3 appointments before they do anything. I walked out and will not be back.
Its the worst I went to.blue island il. Was so dirty.and Chicago Heights ever call you back .and AARP help them wrong place!!!!!!! Go to Jen care Heath to get . Good care!! A nd very clean .Not like Oak street and good to the use sensors !
Horrible I called twice a day for 7 days and still couldn't get a prescription filled. They lied and lied. I have to go there in person which is very difficult for me. Might find another doctor.

OAK STREET EDGEWATER HAS BEEN THE WORST, STARTING WITH THE FACT THE SO CALLED NURSE PRACTITIONERS(s) SENT IN THE EXACT SAME, INCORRECTLY FILLED OUT REFERRAL FORM 15-20 TIIMES FOR A YEAR UNTIL WE QUIT TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH BRAINDEAD OAK STREET PEOPLE. A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE, I FEEL THE LEVEL OF MEDICAL CARE WAS VERY MEDIOCRE, TOPPED BY FALSE, FRAUDULENT & MISLEADING INFO ENTERED INTO MY MEDICAL RECORDS, AND REFUSING TO CORRECT ANY OF THEIR ENTRIES IN MY RECORDS, STATING IT WAS THEIR "OPINION". WHEN THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED TO FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR BC THEY COULDN'T TREAT ME, WAS THE BEST CARE I RECEIVED IN 3.5 MONTHS.
I had an appt at OSH clinic on January 10. Since I never got a reminder, I called the day before to confirm. They said they cancelled my appointment and did not know why I was not notified. They gave me a new appointment a month later on February 9. I need pretty much constant healthcare! So in the meantime I got a UTI and called them. They said they couldn’t help me since I hadn’t seen their doctor yet … because they cancelled the appointment without telling me. So I was on my own!
