Dr. Kuriyan and his staff are absolutely wonderful! Without a doubt the best care around!
We have never been to a worst run practice. Our appointment was at 10:15 AM. At 11:15 AM we were taken to another room where we met with an assistant. She did not inspire confidence when she didn’t know that hay fever was an allergic reaction to pollens. After her we were then taken to another room where we waited for another hour and a half. There was insufficient seating and we had to stand for much of that time. Additionally, the waiting room was filthy with garbage littered on the floor. This was truly a horrible experie... read more
When I diagnosed with macular pucker I was very overwhelmed by the information that I was given. Dr. Kuriyan took the time to explain the condition, the risks of surgery and the pros and cons of of waiting it out or addressing now. After sitting with him it was immediately clear that he was the surgeon for me. He was caring, empathetic and his bedside manner was top ten. Dr. Kuriyan saved my vision. I had a detached retina in my left eye in 2020 at the beginning of Covid and he was able to reattach it. In 2021 my right eye decided to start to detach and another doctor at Midatlanticretna used a bubble in my eye to reattach it. The care I have received between my primary ophthalmologist (Dr Ringel) and Dr. Kuriyan has been nothing short of a miracle for me. They are so professional and caring.
