Dr Aferzon preformed (2) spinal fusions on me. One in 2016 and the XLIF was in March 2017. My spinal cord (dura) was directly cut, "accidentally" when opening me from the front. They repaired it, “wrapped it, sewed it” once they realized the CSF leak. Dr Aferzon has done all 13 surgeries on my mother's back and has gone to bat for her on multiple occasions. The ladies in the office are amazing , beautiful people as well. He is #1 neurosurgeon in CT and #3 in the whole country. One of the few doctors who actually cares about their patients on a case to case matter. I really like doctor Aferzon. He knows the job very well Hi always finding time to explain the problem. I never was afraid before surgery because he was a neurosurgeon Trust him more then myself. And now I don’t know what’s happend. I called his office (2 times) becouse of extreme pain I called Monday and Tuesday. I bag them to give mi something for pain just for 2-3 days.
