I am a mother of five children ranging in age from 20 years down to 8. Dr. Diakiw has cared for all of my children and has always provided the most conscientious care. I've never had a physician take such a careful and accurate health history or be so willing to spend as much time as it takes to provide appropriate care for my children. She knows more than the average doctor does about nutrition, which I find invaluable. I highly recommend this doctor.
We went in for a wellness exam. Dr. Diakiw noticed my daughter's hemangioma and asked her if she had fallen and bumped her head-- failing to recognize it as a hemangioma. Hemangiomas are the most common childhood tumor and occur in up to 10% of kids. She also reported that one of my daughter's eyes turned slightly inward and referred a specialist visit. We went to a second pediatrician who found nothing wrong with her eyes despite trying, and correctly identified the hemangioma on the spot.
Do not trust Dr. Diakiw to take accurate medical records. She is not trustworthy and trust me, you do not want errors in your child's medical records. She treated my daughter very poorily. After 5 years, we are leaving her practice.
