I don't know if reviews matter for something like this but I felt compelled to leave one. As we all know, our healthcare system is very broken. I have felt so defeated and overwhelmed trying to get help from anybody and it's so frustrating. BUT I finally got an appointment here and I dealt with Dr. Max (can't remember his last name off the top of my head). I just can't rave enough about how kind he was and how well he treated me. I've been struggling with a health issue for the last few months, and had previously spent nearly 10 hours at RJH, with no luck getting into a UPCC - until this week. This was my first experience with the Downtown Victoria UPCC and they must've upgraded their phone systems because the process was MUCH easier than I've experienced before. At 8:30am my call was taken and placed in the queue, with my position in the queue updated as I waited. This was my first visit to this clinic, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience! The front desk staff and nurses are all fantastic. The front desk staff greet everyone with friendly smiles and plenty of patience, which helps alleviate the stress and anxiety of patients, especially for those whose native language is not English.
